What started out as a not so good week last week, ended with a turn around of attitude and spirit. I apologize for not posting updates on Kevin sooner. At first, I didn't post because Kevin was not doing so swell. After the side effects from chemo had passed, he didn't perk up like he … Continue reading 7/19-7/26: Radiation Treatments #20 – #25

Update . . . (6/27-7/4)
Sorry this has taken a little more time. As I told a friend the other day, I feel like I’m swimming across a lake on my back, while trying to juggle bowling balls. 🏊♂️ 🤹♀️ 🎳 POSITIVE: I’ve always been great swimming on my back. The biggest hold up is the dentist visit for panoramic X-rays to ensure he doesn't have any dental issues that will be made worse … Continue reading Uncertainty
PET Scan results- great news!
The pet scan showed no additional signs of cancer!!! Kevin fell to his knees when we heard the results. We finally have a victory in this battle.
“Treatment Team” failure & redemption
Edit "How to explain to family" We took this photo and sent it to our kids. We were trying to keep the positivity going. This was at Panera where we grabbed coffee prior to our scheduled appointments to "meet the team" to discuss our treatment plan. Mind you, we thought we were going to this meeting … Continue reading “Treatment Team” failure & redemption
The Journey Begins
May 16th was the first day we heard the word. We've heard it before. We have always unitedly joined in to say we hate the word. We've helped raise money to help others fight that word. We've donated money to families who are fighting and to those who lost the fight.
