Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
May 16th was the first day we heard the word. We’ve heard it before. We have always unitedly joined in to say we hate the word. We’ve helped raise money to help others fight that word. We’ve donated money to families who are fighting and to those who lost the fight.
May 16th, 2018. The doctor said he wanted to feel the tonsil. First doctor to actually put his fingers on the swollen and inflamed tonsil. Almost immediately the doctor said, “This feels like cancer. It’s firm. We need a biopsy.”
That word used in context with you, your spouse, your child, your parent, changes the word. It’s suddenly not someone else’s fight. It’s all consuming from the moment the doctor said that word. Dr. Whang called with biopsy results on 5/22/18.
It’s now our fight. It’s our new reality.
The Journey Begins
